15.1. The general descriptionThe electric equipment system has working pressure of 12 Volt and uses negative grounding. A food for headlights and all other elements of an electric equipment arrives from the lead-acid accumulator which is recharged from the generator.
In this chapter operations of repair and service for the various elements of the electric equipment which have been not connected with the engine are described. The information on repair and service of the accumulator, the generator, the ignition and starter distributor can be found in the corresponding chapter.
It is necessary to notice, that at work with electric equipment system it is necessary to disconnect a wire of the negative plug of the accumulator for short circuit and-or ignition prevention.
Attention! If the stereoplayer of your car has coding system, check up, whether you know a code of activation of a player before an accumulator detachment.
