6.17. An accelerator rope - removal, installation and adjustmentModels without cruise-control system
Cordia, Tredia, Colt, Lancer, Mirage (except MPI) and Precis (except MPI)
1. On carburettor engines remove the air filter.

16.2 Turn off an adjusting nut (it is specified by an arrow) and disconnect a rope of an accelerator from an arm

2. Turn off an adjusting nut ( 16.2) and remove a rope from an arm.

16.3а Remove the furnish panel under the panel of devices and disconnect a rope in a point specified by an arrow.

16.3б Disconnect a rope from a fire-prevention partition turning off two fixing bolts and remove directing a rope from a partition.

3. Disconnect a rope from the carburettor and a gas pedal. Remove a rope from a back wall of an impellent compartment ( 16.3а and 16.3б). 4. Remove a rope from the car.
5. Installation is spent upside-down removals.

6. Get a rope from arms, disconnect it from a pedal of gas and the case of a throttle and remove from the car ( 16.3а, 16.3б and 16.6). 7. Installation is spent upside-down removals.
Adjustment
8. Warm up the engine and check up speed of idling. Adjust it if it is necessary. Muffle the engine.
9. Press a pedal of an accelerator and check up, that the lever throttle заслонки moved smoothly, and completely opened заслонку.
10 Include ignition for 15 seconds
11 Turn off two bolts, крепящих a rope near the throttle case
12 Pull a rope and tighten two bolts Check up, that the lever throttle заслонки concerned a rod of a vacuum diaphragm

33. Check up, that the connecting link concerned an emphasis ( 16.28), then turn off an adjusting bolt of a rope of a pedal of an accelerator and pull a rope 34. Check up, that throttle заслонка it opened completely and closed by pressing an accelerator pedal.
