3.6. Springs of valves, fastenings and overlays - replacement

1. Remove a cover of valves.

2. Unscrew a spark plug from the cylinder in which there is a spoilt detail. If you make replacement of all overlays of valves it is necessary to unscrew all candles.

3. Turn a cranked shaft so that the cylinder piston in which there is a spoilt detail, was in the top dead point. If you replace all overlays of valves begin with the first cylinder, and spend replacement by turns, according to sequence of work of cylinders.

5.4 Adapter which is screwed in in an aperture of a spark plug

4. Screw in an adapter in an aperture of a spark plug (5.4) and connect to an adapter a hose from the compressor.

5.5 If you use the tool shown in a photo, an axis коромысел inlet valves to remove not necessarily

5. If you do not have special lever tool (5.5), remove an axis коромысел.

6. Закачайте compressed air in the cylinder.

7.  Under the influence of pressure of air valves should remain closed. If overlays of valves are in bad condition air leak will be observed.

8. If you do not have compressor you can use an alternative method. Establish the piston a little below the top dead point. Insert into a spark plug aperture  a nylon cord and push it in inside until it completely will not fill the combustion chamber. Turn a cranked shaft so that to feel easy resistance.

5.9 Get holders of a spring by means of flat-nose pliers with thin sponges.

9. Stop up with aperture rags in a head of cylinders that in them tools and details have not failed. Compress a valve spring the special tool. Remove holders of a spring flat-nose pliers (5.9).

5.10 Remove directing lining flat-nose pliers.

10. Remove a basic washer of a spring and a spring of the valve, and then remove directing lining (5.10):

11. Wrap up rubber or изоляционную a tape round the valve that it has not failed in the combustion chamber. Ослабьте pressure of air.

12. Check up, whether the valve surface is damaged. Twist the valve in the directing plug to check up, whether it is bent.

13. Move the valve upwards and downwards, be convinced, that it does not jam. If the valve jams, it either is bent, or damaged. For repair carrying out it will be necessary to remove a head of cylinders.

14. Again закачайте air in the cylinder that the valve was closed. Remove изоляционную a tape from the valve.

5.15 Establish a lining into place, having hammered it by means of the plug and a hammer.

15. Grease the valve with engine oil and insert a new directing lining (5.15).

16. Establish a valve spring.

17. Establish a basic washer of a spring. Compress a spring and accurately insert holders into a groove. Put on an internal surface of holders a small amount of greasing (5.15).

18. Release a spring and be convinced, that holders have sat down into place.

19. Disconnect a hose of the compressor and unscrew an adapter from a spark plug aperture. If you used a cord, get it from the cylinder.

20. Establish axes коромысел and коромысла.

21. Insert spark plugs and connect to them wires.

22. Establish a cover of valves.

23. Get the engine, check up, whether there are no leaks and unusual sounds from under covers of valves.
