2.38. Check and adjustment of a corner of an advancing of ignition

37.1 Tools necessary for check and adjustment of a corner of an advancing of ignition 1. Заглушки 2. A stroboscope 3. A wrench of the special form

1. For check and adjustment of a corner of an advancing of ignition the special equipment (37.1) is required.

37.2 Adjusting marks of a corner of an advancing of ignition are located on the forward party of the engine (приводной the belt is removed for presentation) - combine a notch on a pulley and a corresponding mark in a ruler

2. By means of a chalk or a paint mark notch position on a pulley (37.2).

37.3 On models with fuel injection should be the socket of the connection similar shown on drawing, in an impellent compartment. Earth the socket plug. 1. The socket of connection necessary for adjustment of a corner of an advancing of ignition

3. Connect a stroboscope. On models with  fuel injection    earth  an adjusting  socket (37.3).

4. Wait, while speed of idling is stabilised, then direct a stroboscope beam on a ruler of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition.

5. The mark in a pulley should be motionless. If it is combined with the specified mark in a ruler, means, a corner of an advancing of ignition the correct.

37.6 Having turned off an adjusting nut, turn the distributor (or the gauge of position of a cranked shaft) for adjustment of a corner of an advancing of ignition 1. A fixing nut of the distributor 2. Reduction of a corner of an advancing of ignition 3. Increase in a corner of an advancing of ignition

6. If marks adjustment is not combined, necessary. Turn off a fixing nut of the distributor and the gauge of position of a cranked shaft (37.6) and turn the distributor or the gauge very slowly to combine marks.

7. Tighten a nut and check up a corner of an advancing of ignition.

8. Switch off the engine and disconnect a stroboscope.
