13.24. Wheels and tyres - the general description

1. On all cars described in this management, radial tyres of the metric sizes with металлокордом or a textile cord (See the scheme) are established. Use of tyres of other sizes or types can essentially affect controllability and softness of a course of the car. Do not establish on the car of the tyre of different types, for example with a radial and diagonal cord as it can seriously affect controllability of the car. It is recommended to replace at once both tyres on forward or back wheels, and at replacement only one tyre, check up, that new tyres was the same size, type and with the same drawing of a protector, as the second.

2. As pressure in tyres makes the big impact on controllability of the car and speed of deterioration of tyres, pressure in tyres is necessary to check at least once a month or before distant trips (See the corresponding chapter).

3. It is necessary to replace a wheel, if it погнуто, it is deformed, the tyre passes air, apertures for bolts of fastening of wheels if the wheel has rusted were chiseled, has got the form of an oval or if nuts of fastening of a wheel cannot be twirled strongly enough. It is not recommended to repair a wheel if for this purpose it is necessary to use welding or to do нагартовку.

4. Balancing of wheels is important for controllability of the car, its ability to braking and movement on the big speeds. The debalanced wheels can worsen controllability of the car and service life of tyres. At installation of the new tyre on a disk, a wheel it is necessary отбалансировать in a repair truck having the necessary equipment.
