13. A manual brake - adjustment

1. Check up a course of the lever of a manual brake. It should not rise more than on 5-7 clicks. Otherwise adjust a manual brake.

2. Remove the central console.

13.3а On some models adjusting nuts of ropes of a manual brake are located under the central console - at adjustment of ropes, turn both adjusting nuts (are specified by arrows) on equal quantity of turns (model Precis is shown)

3. Tighten up adjusting nuts on the balance weight so to receive a demanded course of the lever of a manual brake (13.3а, 13.3б).

13.3б On other models ropes of a manual brake are regulated by means of one nut.

13.4а On some models for adjustment of the switch of an alarm bulb of a manual brake turn off the fixing screw (it is specified by an arrow) and move the switch as it is necessary (model Precis) is shown

13.4б On other models for switch adjustment turn in a uvula established on the switch (it is specified by an arrow) (model Galant)

4.  If it is necessary, adjust the switch of an alarm bulb of a manual brake. For this purpose turn off the fixing screw of the switch and move the switch upwards-downwards as it is necessary, or turn in a uvula (13.4а, 13.4б). After adjustment of position of the switch, reliably twirl the fixing screw.

5. Lift a back part of the car and twist wheels, having checked up that brakes did not stir to their rotation.
